A severe thunderstorm hit NYC hard last night, and it came along with some pretty intense lightning strikes.
Most of New York was under a flash flood warning, with heavy rainfall causing flooding of highways and streets. There were reported power outages from ConEd as well, mostly in parts of Queens and Staten Island. As always, Notify NYC informs New Yorkers of how to stay safe during intense weather of this kind.
