Last year was the Lower East Side's first annual book crawl and, due to its success, it's returning this year with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community!
Last year LES held its first annual book crawl highlighting five of the neighborhood’s indie bookstores to celebrate their diversity and resilience, and since then we’ve been waiting for it to make its return.
Well, book lovers rejoice because the LES Book Crawl is returning THIS Saturday, June 11 and it’s filled with incredible discounts, free drinks, and awesome giveaways.
This year’s book crawl will feature many of the same bookstores as last year alongside new additions that may have yet to be explored. Shops participating in the crawl will partake in the city’s Pride Month celebration and will highlight books by and about the LBGTQ+ community to be enjoyed by queer New Yorkers and book lovers alike.
Participating bookstores include:
The crawl officially starts at 12p.m. and ends at 7p.m., this Saturday, June 11th. You can stay updated by checking out Bluestockings Cooperative Instagram page.
