It’s June and you know what that means: Pride Month has arrived and the LGBTQ+ Book Crawl is returning to the Lower East Side!
The third annual Lower East Side Pride Book Crawl will return on Saturday June 29, filled with incredible discounts, free drinks, and awesome giveaways.
This year’s book crawl will feature seven unique indie bookstores and will once again be launched by Bluestockings Cooperative, a queer, trans, and women-owned feminist bookstore that boasts over 23 years on the Lower East Side and is one of the oldest feminist bookstores in the country.
Shops participating in the crawl will partake in the city’s Pride Month celebrations and will highlight books by and about the LBGTQ+ community to be enjoyed by queer New Yorkers and book lovers alike.
Participating bookstores include:
- Bluestockings Cooperative Bookstore – 116 Suffolk Street
- Book Club Bar – 197 E 3rd Street
- Sweet Pickle Books – 47 Orchard Street
- Yu & Me Books – 44 Mulberry Street
- Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks – 28 East 2nd Street
- Village Works – 12 St Mark’s Place
- Pillow-Cat Books – 328 East 9th Street
The LGBTQ+ book crawl officially starts at 12 pm and ends at 7 pm on Saturday June 29th.
