Bluestockings Cooperative, a Queer and Trans-owned activist bookstore and café in NYC is celebrating Halloween this year in the usual trick-or-treat fashion, however, lucky for us, they’re only providing us with treats.
This past June they hosted an LGBTQ+ book crawl in the LES, and this month the gears are shifting to a more ominous vibe with their Halloween Book Crawl!
Expected to be a spooky good time, the same bookstores that participated in the LGBTQ+ book crawl will be offering up deals and discounts once again, including:
- Bluestockings: 10% off books & café (116 Suffolk St.)
- McNally Jackson: 15% off (52 Prince St.)
- Pillow Cat Books: Free sticker with purchase (328 East 9th St.)
- Sweet Pickle Books: Free merch with purchase & a costume contest (47 Orchard St.)
- Yu & Me Bookstore: Free cake from Kam Hing bakery with a purchase (44 Mulberry St.)
- Book Club Bar: Free keychain with book purchase (197 E 3rd St.)
The LES Halloween Book Crawl is happening this Sunday, October 30 from 12p.m. – 7p.m. You can visit the participating bookstores in any order to gain access to their discounts, free merch and goodies, and other perks throughout the day.
P.S. costumes are encouraged, so be sure to dress your best–don’t forget about Sweet Pickle Books’ costume contest!
