More than just fashionistas are now walking through the doors of Louis Vuitton’s NYC flagship. Back in November 2024 the multi-billion-dollar French fashion house opened the doors to its first U.S. eatery, Le Café, and it’s since become a true feast for the senses.
The elegant Art Deco café, which is nestled on the fourth floor of the luxury designer’s new Midtown flagship location, exudes French charm with a decadent menu to match, and prices have recently been unveiled. Thankfully, café prices aren’t as steep as the brand’s handbags.
The team executing the “luxury snacking” includes Michelin-star chef Christophe Bellanca and pastry chef Mary George, who are whisking up a must-try menu of eats. The café’s menu is divided into two sections: “savor the morning” breakfast items, such as Truffle Eggs à la Coque and Smoked Salmon, and more elaborate “savor the day” items for lunch and dinner, such as Scallop Soufflé and Crab ‘Louis’.
For those just looking for a pick me up, the caffeinated beverage menu consists of all your typical coffee drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, and more, each priced at $9. Tea offerings are a bit more expensive, starting at $12 for snow jasmine, green tea, and Wild Tree Yunnan Red, and climbing to $20 for Old Grove Honey Orchid and oolong.
Those looking for a full meal, however, will find an expertly curated menu of French and Mediterranean dishes alongside American classics ranging from around $25-30 for snacks and appetizers to $40-60 for entrées.
For breakfast, an assortment of seasonal fruit alongside vanilla jus is your cheapest option, which is priced at $18. Other breakfast items include Truffle Eggs à la Coque, priced at $32, Smoked Salmon for $28, and Avocado Tartine for $22.
Diners looking to stop by a bit later in the day can start their meal with dishes such as Crab ‘Louis’ for $36, Monogram Flower Ravioli for $34, or Le Club ‘Pont-Neuf’ for $34. Larger entrées include Chicken, your cheapest option priced at $39, Scallop Soufflé, priced at $52, and the most expensive dish, Whole Lobster, priced at $56. And be sure to order the Pomme Mousseline as well, which, priced at $22, has seemingly become a crowd favorite.
Desserts include Pear Feuilletine for $20, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Hazelnut Entremet for $26 each, and Citrus Cheesecake, also priced at $26.
To drink, cocktail prices rival those at your typical high-end NYC bar, ranging from $19 for a daiquiri to $36 for a Manhattan. Wine and spirits are also available to order, as well as non-alcoholic creations, soft drinks, and juices.
To get a taste of luxury, diners should expect to spend $100+ per person. And one thing’s for sure: you certainly won’t forget where you’re dining at any point during your meal–beyond the abundance of Louis Vuitton branding throughout the space, cappuccinos are finished with the brand name stamped on the foam, the butter that accompanies the complimentary bread is shaped in the brand’s flower, and even the sandwiches are both cut into the brand’s flower shape and stamped with it.
Those looking to snag a reservation at Le Café should head to Resy 28 days in advance. Keep in mind that you’ll want to act quickly–upon opening, most time slots were gone in just under 60 seconds. Additionally, a lucky few can get their hands (or, well, butts) on last-minute seats at the bar, but only before 7 pm as the café closes at 8:30 pm.
