Ramen is basically the perfect winter meal, but it’s not as easy for vegans in NYC to enjoy. Well luckily, the popular L.A. vegan spot Ramen Hood will be in Soho for the next five months!
Starting this Monday, Jan. 20, Ramen Hood is returning to the Chefs Club Counter’s Annex space at 62 Spring St. for a five-month residency.
Chefs Ilan Hall and Rahul Khopkar will be serving a choice of garlic, spicy or “The OG” broth (made by simmering kelp and shiitake mushrooms, and then roasting sunflower seeds with white miso). All bowls will be served with rice noodles, so the dishes will be gluten free as well!
The space offers 12 seats, and you can pair it with sake or beer. You can also order it to-go. It will be open from 11am daily for lunch and dinner.
Ramen Hood originally opened in Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles in 2015 offering 100% vegan ramen. Since then it’s had various pop-ups around the country. It last visited NYC in the fall of 2018 when it was in the same Soho location.
