While we might be partial to local bites, we’re not ones to dismiss a West Coast transplant, either — especially if it’s longtime crowd-pleaser.
Randy’s Donuts, the iconic Los Angeles sweet spot, is traipsing to the East Coast and making its NYC debut this December, eager to delight customers with its proprietary recipes that have been around for nearly 75 years. With such a reputation, it’s no surprise that biz made its way to the country’s ultimate foodie destination.
Ready to take a bite? We certainly could use a snack…
What to expect at Randy’s Donuts
Famed for its giant rooftop donut on its original outpost, Randy’s Donuts got its start in 1952 and hasn’t turned back since. Honestly, we were wondering why it’s taken so long before one of the 40 national stores touched down in the city. Luckily, we can rest easy in a few weeks.
Whether you’re looking for a little pick-me-up throughout the day or want to bring something sweet to your holiday gathering, Randy’s Donuts will offer plenty of treats. According to a rep from the biz, flavors include:
- Classic: Glazed Raised, Chocolate Raised, Sugar Raised, and Sprinkled Iced Cake
- Deluxe: Long Johns, twists, and old fashioneds
- Fancy: Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Rolls, Jelly Filled, Butter Crumb Raised
- Premium: Texas Glazed, Nutella Raised, Oreo’s Raised, S’mores Raised
We don’t know about you, but no end-of-year treat is complete without some apple and cinnamon, so we’re particularly looking forward to digging into the more creative offerings. Though make no mistake, we’ll certainly never deny ourselves a good ‘ol glazed, either.

An exact opening date is still TBD, but as soon as we learn more, you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, check out a few of our other favorite desserts in NYC.
