The Met Opera Is Streaming La Bohème For Free Today Only

The world’s most popular opera is streaming for free tonight (September 27).

As part of the Metropolitan Opera’s online programming due to coronavirus closures, they are streaming HD opera performances every single night, available starting at 7:30PM ET until 6:30PM ET the next day.

You can find them at www.metopera.org/season/on-demand/, as well as all Met Opera on Demand apps, including IOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire devices, Samsung TV, and Roku.

After a week of all Puccini operas, they are ending with a stream of the highly popular La Bohème. That means it is available today (Sept. 27) from 7:30 p.m. EDT until 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Sept. 28).

Here is the Met’s description:

Puccini’s evergreen paean to young love and the bohemian life has captivated generations of Met-goers through Franco Zeffirelli’s iconic production. Movie theater audiences for the high-definition transmission of this staging got to see it with fresh eyes in a touching performance starring Angela Gheorghiu and Ramón Vargas as the frail seamstress and her poetic lover..

Enjoy the stunning work here.

Get your virtual fill, as the Met Opera announced they will not be reopening for performances until September 2021.
