The famous confectionary just opened (as of 10/26) their very first shop in the borough of Queens, in Astoria!
Located at the corner of Ditmars and 31st St. (22-02 31st St., to be exact), it will be Krispy Kreme’s eleventh location in NYC (don’t forget its location in Harlem with the city’s only “hot light,” and its doughnut wonderland in Times Square).
Throughout the grand opening today, they are randomly gifting 30 different customers a “Celebration Ticket” that will give them a dozen free Original Glazed doughnuts every month for an entire year!
As the opening is right in time for Halloween, when the doughnut shop turns into “Krispy Skreme,” there will be plenty of spooky specials. Four new themed doughnuts have been released for the season, and then on Saturday, Oct. 30, guests can get a “Scary Sharies” $1 dozen in a special “spell book box” (with the purchase of any regular dozen).
And on Halloween itself, Oct. 31, any guest who visits in their costume gets a FREE doughnut of their choice (no purchase necessary).
Regular hours for the new store will be Sunday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to midnight. The shop offers their famous Original Glazed® doughnut plus dozens of others, and in‑shop ordering, mobile order pick-up and delivery.
“With a full menu of delicious doughnuts, including our iconic Original Glazed doughnuts, as well as hot and cold beverages, we are thrilled to be in Queens, sweetening the lives of those in the borough and all who visit this wonderful community,” said Maria Rivera, Chief Operating Officer, U.S. & Canada, at Krispy Kreme.
Also, through 10/28, eat for a good cause with the limited-edition “Sunny the Bear” doughnuts, created in honor of young patients battling cancers. New Yorkers can help support the world’s largest blood stem cell donor center DKMS – which matches patients with lifesaving donors – by purchasing the heart-shaped donuts with chocolate icing, chocolate Kreme, sprinkles and a bear face.
