KKK Hoods and Pee-Proof Sheets Planted in Trump Tower Gift Shop

Pranksters have planted Klan Hoods, rubber sheets, a Russian “Trump” flag, and other satirical fake merchandise in the Trump Tower Gift Shop. Here are some pictures and videos of what you can find:

Follow me here. You’re a Trump supporter in NYC, you’re looking for that shiny new red MAGA hat, where do you go? Why Trump Tower of course! You’d make a b-line for the gift shop, right?

If you were going to pick up your “Make America Great Again” merch for a brief time on Monday afternoon you might have been in for a surprise. You’d have found a Trump-branded KKK hood, pee-proof rubber sheets, a Russian flag and a postcard display featuring the 45th President of the United States, Vladimir Putin.

One of the two NYC artists/pranksters (who remain nameless for the time being) responsible for the stunt told Gothamist:

“We thought the tourists coming in to buy some stuff, especially people from other countries, should get the whole story of who the president is, because the items in the Trump store don’t accurately reflect the person,”

Gothamist also published a video in the same post where the items in question can be seen on the shelves of the gift shop:

Thankfully, the Gothamist reporter, @jangelooff, managed to tweet out some shots of the items to give us a closer look and the pranksters handiwork. In the image below you can see various postcards including “Ivanka Trump – First Lady,” Vladimir Putin – 45th President of the United States,” and a postcard giving the anatomical name for the skin that hangs from various parts of the head or neck in several groups of birds and mammals, the “wattle.”
