Popular Filipino fast food chain Jollibee is set to open its fourth NYC location by the end of next year. NYers were ecstatic over its most recent announcement back in March of its Times Square location, and soon their will be even more ways to get your fried chicken fix!
According to real estate firm Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE), the Jollibee will take over 3,454 square feet at 14 East 42nd Street, as first reported by the Commercial Observer.
Apparently the firm had been searching for a new Jollibee location “within the Grand Central vicinity prior to the pandemic,” and it is all finally coming together.
Loved for their mouthwatering, crispy fried chicken, Jollibee is known to have extensive lines filled with eager eaters whenever they open a new location. For Manhattan’s first Jollibee, the chain rewarded its first 40 customers with free Chickenjoy—a popular chicken with gravy and rice menu option—for an entire year!
Beyond fried chicken, the spot offers tons of familiar dishes to the Philippines like Jolly Spaghetti (sweet spaghetti with slices of ham and hot dogs) and Peach Mango Pie.
Jollibee’s first NYC location opened back in 2009 in Woodside, Queens, and according to Commercial Observer, their Grand Central location is just the beginning of the chain’s plan to “rapidly expand across the United States.”
Until then, NYers can check out their other locations here.
