A new taste of NYC has officially landed at one of the city’s most prominent airports.
Whether you’re grabbing a last-minute bite before takeoff or returning home with a craving for something that actually tastes like New York, JFK Terminal 4 just gave travelers a few more reasons to arrive hungry.
The terminal welcomed four new restaurants on August 19, bringing everything from Harlem-founded rice bowls and Japanese-American comfort food to Mission-style burritos and build-your-own salads to the airport. The new additions are part of an ongoing effort to bring more local flavor and diverse dining options to JFK.

The expansion comes through a partnership between JFK Terminal 4 operator JFKIAT and HMSHost, with the restaurants selected through a competitive process designed to better reflect the cultural diversity and globally influenced food scene that our favorite city is known for.
From quick grab-and-go counters to satisfying sit-down-worthy meals before a flight, here’s what travelers can expect from each new addition.

Elevating the Passenger Experience at Terminal 4
The expansion is part of a broader effort to transform airport dining by replacing generic concessions with culturally rich, locally owned culinary brands that reflect the vibrant diversity of New York City’s neighborhoods.
Roel Huinink, CEO of JFKIAT said:
These local businesses based in the city bring their own perspective to that mission, introducing bold, globally influenced flavors and ambiance that reflect the city’s character and its connections around the world.
