After announcing yesterday that it would be giving 10,000 free round-trip flights to New Yorkers, JetBlue is now doing a flyover salute to the city’s essential workers tonight (May 7) at 7pm.
Three different JetBlue planes, each decorated to represent a different group of essential workers, will fly across the city at low altitude tonight during the nightly “Clap Because We Care” cheer for healthcare workers.
There will be one plane for the NYPD, one for the FDNY, and one just decorated with “I ♥ NY.”
You can see the flight path below; they appear to be flying through all five boroughs. They note New Yorkers should keep a healthy distance from others if watching.
