“The Modern Ken” is the latest pop-up exhibit to hit the New York City art scene.
The interactive art exhibit and champagne social features an inclusive cast of life size Ken doll models to create an exciting and photo-worthy environment, where all forms of beauty are celebrated.
The idea behind this exhibit is to bring awareness to pressing social issues such as homophobia, toxic masculinity, Gay adoption and family rights, body positivity, and the Me Too movement. Match Bak Entertainment (the company behind the creation of this event) seeks to do this by featuring a diverse cast of life sized Ken doll models to create an inclusive environment for all. The work you’ll see at the event is largely inspired by photographer Mr. Courtney Charles. The fabulously instagrammable pop-up will take place on October 13 at 515 Greenwich Street, the fifth floor.
