An exhibit dedicated to all things sugar will open this weekend in Brooklyn for only 3 short days. During this time you’ll be able to learn about the world of sugar.
Opening at the sweetest time of year, Sweet Shoppe is an “interactive exhibit [that] explores sugar’s role in everything from agricultural systems, to its physiological impact, and the politics of sugar manufacturing.”
Zoom into the microscopic world of sugar crystallization in @RusKhasanov's video. Then join us this weekend at One Brooklyn Bridge Park for a sweet treat at our free interactive popup, #SweetShoppe!

The event will take place in ChaShaMa Space for Artists at One Brooklyn Bridge Park from Friday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 3. While the exhibit it free, there will be a special adults-only program in the evening that you’ll have to get tickets to in advance.
The evening experience? Lick’n’Lube.
The experience will feature a Lickestra, which is “a musical licking performance…presenting a series of conductive ice creams that trigger sounds when licked.” As an attendee you’ll be able to add your own auditory licks to the orchestra. To be part of the music, however, you need to be 21 or older. But Sweet Shoppe is itself is open to all ages from 11 am until 9 pm all three days!
