New York City’s hottest music festival, Governors Ball, is coming to Queens this June for its 14th iteration. Featuring some of the largest names in the music industry–with over 60 performers across three days–delicious food vendors, and so much more, we’ve honestly been counting down the days since, like, last summer’s festival.
But arguably the most iconic part of it all–you can score free Governors Ball tickets! And no, this is not a drill, we would never play with your hearts like that!
Part of the festival’s platform is “GovBall Gives Back,” which is an earn-a-ticket program that gives people the chance to get their hands on a free ticket to the festival.
Through the program Governors Ball teams up with organizations–from climate change and LGBTQ+ rights to racial justice and reproductive freedom–and gives fans different ways to support them.
The more impact you create the more points you earn, which you can then use for rewards or turn into donations for nonprofits.
And one of those rewards includes free Governors Ball tickets (8,000 points will get you an individual 3-Day GA Pass)!
Those looking to increase their chances of getting a free ticket to Governors Ball can participate in the “Propeller Premier” version of the program, which gives fans double the points for every action plus automatic entry into exclusive experiences, bonus points, and more.
Rewards are split into four categories–Sweepstakes, Donation Rewards, Points Rewards, and Auctions–and include everything from PORTAL rolling papers to winning a trip to see a Tiny Desk Concert in person.
The program exists to inspire activism and help build movements for change in a time when the world’s problems continue to grow. Just a fraction of their impact so far includes $8,813,635 raised, 2,552 volunteered hours, and 34,096 donated meals.
