The luxury retailer has reportedly recently signed leases for two locations in Williamsburg, according to investment firm L3 Capital.
Hermès is heading to Williamsburg according to an exclusive report by WWD. A long-term pop-up will take over the neighborhood in the first quarter of 2023, and a permanent flagship store is set to follow in its footsteps later in 2026.
The luxury retailer signed leases for two locations with urban retail and mixed-use real estate investment firm L3 Capital.
“Hermès’ decision to invest in Williamsburg speaks to the strength and vibrancy of this location. We are fortunate to have such a great partner that will contribute to the growth and evolution of this neighborhood,” says Domenic Lanni, Co-Founder of L3 Capital.
The initial pop-up will be situated at 91 North 6th Street, neighboring less high-end brands such as Madewell, Urban Outfitters, and Everlane. This two-story store measures around 5,400 square feet, and it has plans to stick around for about two years.
The flagship store will make itself comfortable a few doors down in an 85,000-square-foot single-story location at 111 North 6th Street. Construction is ongoing and this location plans to be open in 2026.
This high-end boutique will be the brand’s first store in Brooklyn and its fourth in New York.
