Move over Halloween and Marathon Sunday, we have another celebration brewing for the weekend: Harry Styles Appreciation Day. October 30 has been declared as Harry Styles Appreciation Day in Manhattan, just in time for the singer’s highly anticipated Harryween concerts at Madison Square Garden.
The proclamation comes at a very exciting time in Styles’ career. The pop star’s residency Together, Together has brought 30 shows to his adoring fans at Madison Square Garden, turning midtown into the ultimate fan festival and disco dance party.
Why is October 30 Harry Styles Appreciation Day?
This newly declared holiday puts the spotlight on Styles as his record breaking New York City residency approaches its curtain call this weekend. Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal declares:
“As his residency concludes, we recognize his contributions to music and the unforgettable memories created on one of New York City’s most iconic stages…”
This is not the first time Styles has broken records at the New York City native stage. His 2021 Love On Tour included a shorter residency of 15 consecutive nights at Madison Square garden as well.
For fans and Styles alike, an appreciation day seems like the most proper way to celebrate the music, fashion and community that have made this 30 show run such a historic event.
Harry Styles is bringing Harryween to New York City
October 30 is already a big day for Styles as he kicks off the final shows of his residency, but also the beginning of Harryween.
Harryween is the blending of ‘Harry’ and ‘Halloween’ and joined the evergrowing vernacular of Gen Z lingo back in 2021 during the singer’s Love on Tour right here in New York City. He and his band famously dressed up and performed the night in costume along with covering some spooky and thematic pop songs.
These Halloween themed shows are the final stretch of his New York City residency which began in August and concludes on the eve of Marathon Sunday.
For fans that are lucky enough to have acquired tickets, it’s their opportunity to celebrate Halloween Styles’ signature blend of pop and disco all while playfully being welcomed to dress up as they’d like. Costumes are permitted at Madison Square Garden, subject to the venue’s rules.
How to celebrate Harry Styles Appreciation Day?

Eager fans can shop on October 30 and 31 from noon to 5 PM.
