Since its origins in 2011 as a tiny, one-day event on Governors Island, the music festival has been New York City’s definitive kick-off to summer, evolving from an indie-electronic showcase into a massive, multi-genre weekend.
Kicking off TODAY, June 5th, the weekend-long party returns to the iconic, tree-lined expanses of Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Running from Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 7th, 2026, the gates open daily at 11:30 AM and music runs until 10:00 PM.

- The App is Your Lifeline: Download the Festiverse app (the official guide for Gov Ball). Use it to build a custom schedule, check real-time foot traffic maps, and receive weather alerts.
- Lockers: Locker rentals equipped with internal mobile charging cords are available near the main entrance. Book one early if you don’t want to carry your layers after sundown.
- Re-entry Policy: General Admission (GA) and GA+ ticket holders do not have re-entry privileges. Once you leave the park for the day, you cannot come back in. VIP and Cabana ticket holders are permitted limited re-entry.
🚗 How to Get to the Festival
Flushing Meadows Corona Park is incredibly accessible from all five boroughs. Do not drive. There is zero public parking available at the festival grounds.
- By Subway: Take the 7 Train directly to the Mets-Willets Point Station. The festival entrance is just a short, clearly marked walk from the station platform.
- By Train (LIRR): Take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to the Mets-Willets Point Station. It’s less than a 20-minute ride from Penn Station or Grand Central Madison, making it the fastest option if you’re coming from Manhattan or Long Island.
- By Rideshare or Drop-off: If using Uber or Lyft, set your destination specifically to the designated festival rideshare lot (clearly mapped in your rideshare app and marked on the perimeter of the park). Expect heavy traffic along the Grand Central Parkway near peak arrival times (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM).
