Music festival season is officially loading…and summer in New York is already starting to feel closer.
NYC’s signature music festival, Governors Ball, is back for 2026, and today the festival announced its massive lineup for the upcoming year.
Gov Ball will return to Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 5–7, 2026, once again perfectly timed with New York Music Month.
🎤 The 2026 Governors Ball headliners are officially here
This year’s Governors Ball will be headlined by Lorde, Stray Kids, and A$AP Rocky.
Lorde returns to Gov Ball for the first time as a headliner after performing at the festival back in 2017, while global K-pop superstars Stray Kids bring their stadium-level energy to Queens.
Rounding out the top of the bill is Harlem’s own A$AP Rocky, making a highly anticipated return to one of New York’s biggest stages just months after he’s set to drop his new album Don’t Be Dumb— his first in 8 years.

Beyond the headliners, the 2026 lineup is packed with genre-spanning talent and festival favorites, including:
Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, Jennie, Katseye, Geese, Major Lazer, Pierce the Veil, Dominic Fike, Blood Orange, Clipse, Mariah The Scientist, Wet Leg, Amyl and The Sniffers, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, The Dare, 2hollis, Ravyn Lenae, and many more.
This year’s bill also highlights a strong slate of NYC-based artists, underscoring Gov Ball’s continued commitment to showcasing local talent.
Acts with New York roots include Geese, The Dare, Del Water Gap, Arcy Drive, Lexa Gates, plus emerging hometown favorites like The Backfires and Chanpan. The festival will also once again spotlight youth music programs including School of Rock Queens, School of Rock New York, and Kids Rock for Kids.
In total, more than 60 artists will perform across three stages over the three-day weekend.
🎟 Governors Ball 2026 presale ticket info, date & time
Fans can sign up now for the SMS Presale, happening Thursday, January 8 from 10 – 11 am ET. This is the only way to guarantee tickets at the lowest price.
Once the presale ends, public on-sale begins at 11 am ET, and ticket prices will increase.
Also huge news for festival fans…physical wristbands are officially back for 2026 as well!
Returning ticket options include GA, GA+, VIP, and Cabanas, available as both 1-Day and 3-Day passes.
Gov Ball is also once again offering PIT VIEWING tickets, which include all VIP amenities plus exclusive viewing areas at all three stages—arguably the best views in the park.
Layaway plans are available on all ticket types starting at $25 down, and local Queens residents (zip codes 11368, 11355, 11375, and 11367) are even eligible for a 15% ticket discount.
