How to get last-minute Gov Ball tickets

The festival is selling passes in any combination of days including 3-day, 2-day and single-day passes. The ticket tiers come in General Admission, GA+, VIP or Platinum/Pit Viewing.

This weekend’s weather forecast
Despite this week’s scorching hot temperatures, the Governors Ball weather forecast looks like it’s going to cool off with a some chances of rain.
Friday looks to have a high of 86 degrees with a 40% chance of light rain and scattered thunderstorms.
Saturday will have a high of 75 degrees and 88% rain, and Sunday looks to be the best day weather-wise with a high of 81 degrees and 25% rain, partly cloudy.
How to get to Governors Ball this weekend
The best way to get to Governors Ball this year is via public transportation! Festival-goers can take the 7 train or LIRR to Mets-Willets Point Station, and then walk about 15 minutes to the festival’s main entrance.
Rideshare services like Lyft and Uber will be allowed as well, with designated pick-up and drop-off locations being at the NY Hall of Science!

What you can and can’t bring
While you pack your bag before hitting the park, be sure to check what you can and can’t bring!
Governors Ball enforces a certain bag policy as well so be aware ahead of time, and plan accordingly.
âś… What You Can Bring
- Bags
- Small clutch purses and fanny packs (6″ x 9″ or smaller) — no need to be clear, but limited to one pocket.
- Clear bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″.
- Hydration packs — do not need to be clear but must be empty upon entry and have no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment.
- Hydration
- Empty reusable water bottles (plastic or aluminum).
- Empty hydration packs.
- Hydration/electrolyte packets in factory-sealed, single-serving packages.
- Personal Items
- Blankets, sheets, towels.
- Binoculars.
- Basic point-and-shoot cameras (no detachable lenses).
- Portable battery packs.
- Personal-sized hand sanitizer.
- Personal misting fans with bottles no larger than 1.5 L (must be empty upon entry).
- Sunscreen in non-aerosol containers (3.4 oz or less).
- Totems less than 7 feet tall and 1 inch in diameter, made of light materials like swim noodles, foam, cardboard tubes, fabric, light plastic, balloons, aluminum, or inflatable items.
- Factory-sealed Naloxone/Narcan kits.
- Medical Needs:
- Prescription medications in pharmacy-labeled containers stating the prescription, dosage, and patient name. Only a sufficient supply for the day is allowed.
- Over-the-counter medications in a sufficient supply for the day; contents will be verified by medical personnel at entry gates.

- Bags:
- Any bag not complying with the allowed bag policy.
- Prohibited Items:
- Aerosol containers, including sunscreen and personal beauty products.
- Coolers of any kind (exceptions may be made for medical use).
- Professional video equipment; video recording is not allowed.
- Chairs of any kind.
- Outside food and drink.
- Glass containers.
- Illegal drugs.
- Alcohol.
- Weapons or fireworks.
- Pets (service animals are permitted).
