NYC already has its own ‘Little Paris’ neighborhood, but this April we’re getting the whole country!
The Consulate General of France in New York has announced that Good France Week (Goût de France) is returning to NYC this April!
For the seventh time since 2015, the French diplomatic network will bring a weeks-worth of events celebrating French gastronomy to NYC, including fun and informative delicious gatherings to introduce New Yorkers to the French cuisine and culinary culture.
The program will include everything from wine tastings to conferences to learn how to choose the healthiest foods. Some events include:
- French appetizers at Angelina
- Women-made wine tastings at Winemak’Her Bar
- French dinner at O’Cabanon
Damien Laban, Acting Consul General of France in New York stated:
Good France Week allows us to show the dynamism of the French community in New York when it comes to gastronomy. Many French people make France shine here with their talent. We have world-famous chefs, but also many other restaurateurs, pastry chefs, bakers, and sommeliers who bring French culinary culture to life in the heart of the Big Apple, between tradition and innovation. We are very proud of them.
Good France Week will take place from Saturday, April 13th through Friday, April 19th.
The week will close on April 19th with a private ceremony honoring French chefs who have significantly contributed to making French gastronomy known and loved in the US.
