Don’t waste your summer cooped up in stuffy bars and sweaty clubs. Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! Here are five fun outdoor activities you can do in the city this summer:
1. Madison Square Park Tour
Go on an adventure with New York Adventure Club! This isn’t just a nice stroll, it’s also a photography class (fancy camera not required). A professional photographer will guide you through the park and show you where all the best photo opps are. Sign up with Fever here!
2. Penn Plates
Penn Plates is a brand new pop-up food market, created by UrbanSpace, who has previously brought you Mad. Sq. Eats and Broadway Bites. Try something new, and have your lunch outside!
3. Scavenger Hunts
POGO Events’ city scavenger hunts are both a mental and physical workout. Coming up this weekend are the Jersey City scavenger hunt and the international-themed scavenger hunt. Get together a team, compete for awesome prize packages, and have fun.
4. Movie nights in the park
Tons of places host outdoor film screenings in the summer. HBO Summer films will be in Bryant Park on Mondays and SummerScreen will be in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park on Wednesdays. There’s also NYC Parks and Summers on Hudson with film screening plans. Look on Fever to see the upcoming films and locations!
5. Outdoor Clubbing
You can even go clubbing outside in the city! Quiet Clubbing hosts parties outside where your dance music comes over a headset, and you can choose what tunes you groove to. Their biggest event yet will be the last weekend of July. Check out the Fever app for the details.
