The circle of life applies to movies too!

Animation, award winning Broadway hit, and now a live action film. Disney really knows how to keep a franchise alive! The Lion King, which came out as an animated film in 1994 and made its Broadway debut in 1997 has evolved with the times and continues to play at the heart strings of both children and adults.

The trailer for the new film was aired yesterday during the Thanksgiving prime time game and so far the response has been positive. For the moment it seems as if the new film-set to be released in Summer 2019- will stay true to the original. So true in fact that the narration for the new trailer was spoken by James Earl Jones, the original Mufasa from the 1994 animation and the voice of Mufasa in next years film.

According to the BBC in addition to James Earl Jones, the film has other huge names attached to it including Beyonce, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Seth Rogan.
