Smithsonian Magazine’s 14th annual Museum Day is taking place tomorrow, Saturday September 22. On this day 1,400 museums and cultural institutions across the country will waive their admissions fees for visitors.
In NYC this year there will be 25 museums participating. Anyone in the city can visit the museums listed below for free with a pre-downloaded ticket. Learn about the history of the culinary world at the Museum of Food and Drink, maritime history at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, or all about design at Cooper Hewitt.
Each ticket allows for free general admission for two to any of the institutions listed below. You can download them here.
