What better gift to the City of New York than FREE BACON? None, that’s what! A pop-up food truck giving away free holiday-themed bacon treats has been making it’s way up the East Coast. Finally, it’s here!
The two greatest words in the English dictionary; “Free” and “Bacon.” This holiday season, NYC is getting the gift of free bacon – forget the “Polar Express,” December 14 and 15 we’re jumping aboard “The Bacon Express.” Think, ice cream truck …but for bacon …then think, “Why isn’t that already a thing?”
There’s only one thing better than bacon, that’s free bacon. Thanks to the organic meat brand “Applegate” that’s exactly whats on the menu.
The Bacon Express hit the road on December 2 from Orlando, Florida. On Applegate’s East Coast road trip they’ve stopped at grocery stores, public parks, and holiday-themed events to offer delicious pork treats. On December 14 its journey culminates right in front of Radio City Music Hall, here in NYC.
Everything on The Bacon Express is completely free. They have four holiday-inspired bacon specialties on offer, all created by Ian Knauer, the author of The Farm cookbook. You can look forward to bacon brownies, bacon chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon toasted bacon and even a bacon fat-infused hot chocolate.
What if you try those delicious treats and you need more post-December 15? Don’t fear, all the recipes are available online on Applegate’s Website.
Catch The Bacon Express in front of Radio City (1260 Sixth Avenue) from noon to 5 pm on December 14 and 15.
