From May through October 2026, Custom NYC Tours is hosting a series of free walking tours through the 34th Street district.
Whether you are an architecture enthusiast or just looking for a cool afternoon walk, these tours break down the fascinating stories behind the neighborhood’s most iconic landmarks.
What to expect on the tour
Led by local experts, each 60-minute tour dives deep into the rich architectural heritage surrounding Midtown Manhattan.
You will get a closer look at historic structures, learn about urban design, and discover exactly how the 34th Street area transformed into one of the city’s busiest hubs.
Special themed tours also align with unique seasonal events in the city.

All tours depart promptly from Plaza33, located right at 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue.
While most walks take place in the afternoon, there are a few special evening departures to catch the sunset. Here is the full schedule for the season:
