Thanks to talented florist, Lewis Miller, Rockefeller Center will be home to two blossoming ‘Flower Flashes’ this Valentine’s Day.
Catch over 10,000 flowers filling up a 14,000-pound backhoe parked in Rockefeller Plaza. The show-stopping display towers 23-feet tall and makes for the perfect photo-op. With every photo shared with the hashtag #LMDxJED, Lewis Miller Design will donate a dollar towards the Jed Foundation working towards protecting mental health and suicide prevention.
Their Instagram shared that if you come back after 12 p.m., you can pick up a bundle of daisies to take back to your special someone!
You can find their second display at the Top of the Rock where last year, more than 128 proposals happened. Made in the shape of a heart, this Flower Flash perfectly frames the Empire State Building for one magical sight you won’t find anywhere else.
“Taking in the view from Top of the Rock, sharing something sweet from one of our shops, holding hands for a spin around The Rink, exchanging vows at the Rainbow Room—for generations, Rockefeller Center has been synonymous with romance,” said EB Kelly, Managing Director at Tishman Speyer and Head of Rockefeller Center. “We’re proud to celebrate love in all its forms this year, welcoming New Yorkers for a joyful, unexpected experience that will make for lasting memories.
Visitors can also catch the Rockefeller Plaza lit blue for Tiffany & Co’s “Blue is the Color of Love” campaign, along with an enormous 10-ft tall gift box put on in partnership with the Salvation Army.
