Well-known suburban chain, P.F. Chang’s, now has a To-Go location for the first time ever in New York City.
From the beginning of the pandemic, take-out became an even more essential part of New York dining. P.F. Chang’s has been added to the list of potential Asian cuisine choices as they open their first of three NYC locations offering a limited menu.
This new location, that opened October 19th, allows people to enjoy the suburban classic in a format more fitting for an urban lifestyle with the space only taking up 1,700 square feet, much smaller than their full-scale restaurants. The Theater District location stays true to the company’s signature interior with vibrant murals and décor.
“Asian has always been a go-to take out cuisine and off premise dining is a model where P.F. Chang’s shows its strength,” said P.F. Chang’s CEO, Damola Adamolekun, in a press release. “P.F. Chang’s To Go provides a platform for us to strengthen and grow that offering―with a continued emphasis on operational and culinary excellence. It also fosters our continued growth, with over 200 new jobs being created in the New York market alone.”
Though the menu is limited, it still includes company classics like Chang’s Lettuce Wraps and their Mongolian Beef. The concept allows NYers to experience the tastes of P.F. Chang’s by takeout, online order, or delivery.
Located at 240 West 40th Street, the restaurant is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Future promise of additional NYC locations in Midtown East, Murry Hill, and the Seaport District are set to open in coming months
P.F. Chang’s To Go locations have already popped up in other cities like Chicago and Austin. The chain has over 210 restaurants worldwide and across 25 countries. It’s about time NYC saw their very own!
