With opening day just around the corner, baseball fans should prepare for this awesome event. Whether you’re a Yankees or a Mets fan, everyone can get behind trying great food.
On April 21st and 22nd at Center 415 in Midtown, Major League Baseball is putting on their first FoodFest. This two-day indoor festival will give baseball fans the opportunity to try dishes from all 30 ball parks nation wide. Each stadium has selected their best dish that also represents its city. Mets Citi Field will present a typical NYC deli pastrami sandwich while the Boston Red Sox Fenway Park will offer New England style lobster rolls. The Houston Astros will be sampling a Chicken Waffle Cone while the Pittsburgh Pirates will offer a Pulled Pork Pierogi Hoagie. You can check out the rest of the menu here.
The samples will be about half the portion of what you might get at the game but with the purchase of your ticket, you get access to samples of all 30 of the selected dishes. You definitely won’t leave feeling hungry.
Sessions run for two hours slots from 11am until 9am. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and cost $25 for food or $40 for food and three beers. Soft drinks and water are complimentary.
