Fifth Avenue is getting some sprucing up this spring with Fifth Avenue Blooms!
This May, Fifth Avenue Association and Van Cleef & Arpels are partnering together for the second year in a row to reimagine NYC’s iconic Fifth Avenue as a blooming showstopper!
Ten blocks along Fifth Avenue have been completely transformed into a floral oasis, as massive floral installations from French illustrator Charlotte Gastaut have popped up to color the sidewalks.
Floral colorful sculptures line the avenue, each complemented by live flowers. These captivating designs showcase the perfect blend of drawing and architecture, featuring arches, benches, and other various sculptural elements sporting bright colors and whimsical designs.
“Fifth Avenue is in bloom with gorgeous sidewalk installations imagined by Van Cleef & Arpels and the artist Charlotte Gastaut, and spectacular offerings from our stores, hotels and restaurants,” said Marie Boster, President, Fifth Avenue Association.
“Visitors can enjoy the one-of-a-kind Blooms-themed cocktails, limited-edition menu items, spa packages and exciting street activations throughout the month of May,” she added.
These massive floral sculptures are taking over Fifth Avenue from 50th to 59th Streets this May, reminding New Yorkers to take the time to take some time to stop and smell the roses!
A weekly schedule of musical and dance performances, children’s programs, and other events will also take place during weekends in May at the Pulitzer Fountain, all of which are free and open to the public.
