Love curry? Come find out a little more about the culture that brought it to the city at this exposition at the Museum of Food and Drink in Brooklyn.
Knights of the Raj NYC is an “immersive arts experience that captures the struggles and stories behind the people who make up the largest Bangladeshi community in the United States.” At the show, you will be exposed the world of a group of often overlooked NYC restaurant pioneers who journeyed from their homeland in Bangladesh to the UK’s Brick Lane full of ‘curry houses’ and then to New York’s own Curry Hill to the Bangladeshi biryani carts and street food vendors seen today throughout Jackson Heights.
Your ticket to the exposition includes a three-course tasting menu of Bangladeshi food at the MOFAD culinary studio. Halal options are available, and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
The show is on from, July 20 through August 5 with timed entry from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. You can find more information on their website.
