Smorgasburg is at long last coming to Manhattan. This weekend the Brooklyn-originated food market will debut in SoHo, and they recently released their much-anticipated vendor lineup.
“Smorg Square” (as it will be called) will open on the corner of Varick Street and Canal Street on Saturday, August 19, and will remain there for two years—through September 2019.
So what can you expect from Smorg Square? Many of the vendors will be favorites from other Smorgasburg locations (think Ramen Burger and Bona Bona Ice Cream). However, this SoHo corner location will also feature a full bar starting in September and will have available outdoor seating for about 120 people, so you won’t have to find empty floor space to set up camp like you would in Williamsburg.

Unlike the Smorgasburg of Prospect Park and East River State Park, the Smorg Square will be open on all weekend—Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 10pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 8pm. You’ll also find that the Brooklyn Flea has moved into Manhattan as well with a location across the street that’ll hold 60 vendors.

Both will stay open through the holiday season, unlike the two Smorgasburg locations in Brooklyn which close in October. The flea market will turn into a holiday market during November and December.
