If you’re not quite ready to head back to the club, “Eschaton” will take you on an electrifying nightlife journey right from your own living room!
After emerging as a creative reimagining of the energy and allure of late-night entertainment when theaters and clubs closed last year, Eschaton is bringing back their immersive nightlife experience with a new look and walkthrough that can still be enjoyed entirely via Zoom.
With countless different digital “doorways,” each guest will choose their own adventure for the night — with every gateway leading to world-class performances ranging from drag queens, to DJs to burlesque and more.
The new setting combines noire cinema with pulp art, and the use of webcams provides that bewitching layer of intimacy and voyeurism. This is a highly produced experience, with artists trained specially in the craft of performing for a virtual audience, including facial and vocal expression, how to blend the physical world of the performer with that of the audience member to form connection, and more!
Acclaimed production designer Memphis Cowboy even created the aesthetic for each room within the venue, using a mix of physical design elements installed in the artists’ homes and dynamic virtual filters and overlays achieved with new technology.
You can also chat with other guests, and are encouraged to dress up in your favorite club outfit and to curate your environment as you see fit. Your camera doesn’t have to be on, but it only enhances the thrill of the experience!
Besides just enjoying tantalizing performances and interactions, there is also a puzzle element, where you’ll have to decipher riddles and sequence puzzles to get into secret rooms revealing truths behind star performers, how the management operates, or the infrastructure of Eschaton itself.
Eschaton takes place every Saturday at 10 p.m., and you’ll surely want to return to uncover all there is to discover.
