Even though the Pride March is going (mostly) virtual again this year, the Empire State Building will once again shine bright with rainbow colors to honor NYC Pride.
This Sunday (June 27), the Empire State Building will transform into a multi-colored LED spectacle at sunset. With the ability to display up to 16 million different colors, the rainbow light show is a dazzling sight.
On the same day, the iconic Pride March will include a broadcast special on ABC-7, followed by a virtual component on NYC Pride’s Facebook and Youtube that will “feature groups and organizations that would typically take to the streets for the annual NYC Pride March.”
Still, with the city mostly reopen at this point, there are many more in-person aspects then last year, including “pop-ups” at local Manhattan businesses featuring work by Queer NYC artists and designers, the return of the PrideFest street fair, and a dance party viewing of the annual “Pride Island.”
