The holiday season is in full swing, and the iconic Empire State Building–one of the most photographed buildings in the world after dark–is joining in on the fun!
The Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) & iHeartMedia will debute the landmark’s annual holiday music-to-light-show tonight, Tuesday December 19th!
This year’s show is set to Jimmy Fallon’s new holiday song “Wrap Me Up,” featuring Meghan Trainor. Lucky for us, the show will run nightly until December 25th to keep New Yorkers in the holiday spirit!
Fallon flipped the switch in a special lighting ceremony and toured the Observatory Experience before joining iHeart’s Elvis Duran for a fan Q&A and a surprise performance on the building’s 80th Floor.
To jog your memory, last year’s show featured none other than the Backstreet Boys’ new Christmas album, “A Very Backstreet Christmas.”
Same as years prior, the show will be synced live each night at 7 p.m. from Tuesday, December 19th through Monday, December 25th to a broadcast of the music on iHeartMedia New York’s Z100. And even if you can’t see it from your apartment, you can watch the show live via Earthcam on their website here.
“The Empire State Building holiday music-to-light show partnership with iHeartMedia is an annual tradition that spreads joy to New York City and throughout the world,” said Anthony E. Malkin, Chairman, President, and CEO of Empire State Realty Trust in 2022.
The Empire State Building holiday music-to-light show, featuring thousands of LED lights, will illuminate New York City for one of the most epic holiday celebrations of the season!
