Chicago-based Indian street food chain Eggholic has officially claimed a stake in NYC, opening a location in Queens’ Floral Park…and here, they’re allllll about the eggs.
At this new fast-casual spot, there’s certainly no shortage of eggs–and due to the moniker it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the ones behind this new dining spot are self-proclaimed “egg holics.”
To EggHolic’s founders and co-owners Bhagyesh Patel and Lay Patel, Eggholic is their home away from home. Growing up in India, their favorite foods were the ones that contained eggs, and it was this personal experience that made them want to bring Indian-style eggs to America, especially since they noticed a gap in the Indian restaurant industry. And by eggs they don’t mean your run of the mill omelet or scrambled eggs–think more like perfectly seasoned eggs that only the most delicious Indian street food is made with.
The restaurant offers an endless selection of egg-based Indian street foods, most of which has rarely been seen in NYC. The menu consists of dishes like sandwiches, rices, chaats, curries, wraps, omelets, and more. If it can be found on a lahris, the street carts found back in India, it can be found at Eggholic. And, in similar fashion to Indian street food, their dishes are cooked on the spot with fresh ingredients, made with a unique blend of spices that will leave your tastebuds begging for more.
Eggholic is located at 256-01 Hillside Avenue in Floral Park, Queens. They’re open Sunday-Thursday 11a.m. – 11p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11a.m. – 12a.m.
