Earth Day Celebrations Are Starting Early In Union Square
Earth Day is all about the celebration of Mother Earth, activism and going green. Swing by Union Square on April 15th for a day filled with some pre-Earth Day activities.

The Earth Day event in Union Square is one of the highest trafficked Earth Day events in the country. Hosted by the Earth Day Initiative, more than 100,000 people will be in attendance. The event features dozens of exhibitors including non-profit organizations and green businesses. The event will feature activities for kids, live performances, interactive displays and more.

The April 15th event will be followed up with the Earth Day 5K Green Tour on April 20th. Participants raise money while touring green spaces in New York City such as the Lowline (the city’s first underground park), a rooftop farm, a composting site, and other green friendly places. Discover some new green and environmentally conscious businesses and hangouts across the city!
