Quarantine has many picking up old hobbies. It also has many of us indulging in our favorite past-time—eating. And now it’s time to get your oven mitts ready because DoubleTree by Hilton has released the official recipe to their soul-warming signature chocolate chip cookies.
Every year, more than 30 millionof these delicious cookies are consumed by DoubleTree guests as a friendly welcome to the hotel. In fact, these famous cookies were even baked in the International Space Station, becoming the first food to be baked in orbit! So by request, the company has decided to release the recipe to the public for the first time ever in an effort to bring some comfort to those currently stuck at home.
‘Senior Vice President and Global Head of DoubleTree, Shawn McAteer, said:
“We know this is an anxious time for everyone. A warm chocolate chip cookie can’t solve everything, but it can bring a moment of comfort and happiness.”
“We hope families enjoy the fun of baking together during their time at home, and we look forward to welcoming all our guests with a warm DoubleTree cookie when travel resumes.”
The recipe shouldn’t require more than 35 minutes of preparation, and each batch makes 26 warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookies. Here’s a look at the full recipe:
