Don’t Miss The Last 2 Manhattanhenge 2016 Events

If you have never heard of Manhattanhenge, welcome to planet earth! You should stay a while, try our bagels!

The phenomena will be back tonight for the second-to-last time  for 2016. The full sun will align perfectly with Manhattan’s grid system at 8:20pm… brace yourselves… Sunset Instagrams are coming! Yes, thousands of tourists will be strolling zombie-like into the middle of busy intersections like lemmings… Stay safe kids!

There are four events a year, the last two were in May, and the final two are this week:

Full Sun

Monday, July 11th at 8:20pm

Half Sun

Tuesday, July 12th at 8:20pm

Neil deGrasse Tyson, the discoverer of Manhattanhenge, declared the event to be “a unique urban phenomenon in the world, if not the universe”… If you’re anything like us you’ll being enjoying it from the can on someone else’s Instagram. There’s nothing like the majesty and wonder of nature on a 4 inch screen, right?
