If you have a lengthy 2025 travel bucket list, the new Delta and Uber partnership could make your next vacation a bit easier (and cheaper).
Thanks to the airline’s new union with the rideshare company, travelers on the ground can maximize their time in the air by accumulating Delta SkyMiles points when requesting Uber rides. Beginning this spring, Uber will be Delta’s exclusive rideshare and delivery partner in the U.S., so keep that in mind before booking.
As you maximize your PTO for 2025, learn how to do the same for your journey.
Delta, Uber partnership: how to earn Delta SkyMiles
So, how does it work, exactly? Here’s what you’ll earn when the program begins:
- One SkyMile per dollar on UberX rides to an airport
- Two SkyMiles per dollar on premium rides
- Three SkyMiles per dollar on Uber Reserve rides
- One SkyMile per dollar on UberEats orders above $40 (restaurants or grocery stores)
“Delta is thrilled to come together with Uber to create a connected travel experience from start to finish,” Delta CEO, Ed Bastian, said in a statement. “This partnership creates more choice for customers to get to their destination in a way that works best for them.”
Details about the official start of the program are TBA, but travelers can expect them this spring. Sign up for the waitlist for updates, and in the meantime, make sure you’re prepped with the proper visas, travel authorizations, and passports before your adventure.
