The MTA has teamed up with Spotify this week to pay tribute to David Bowie. A creative installation at the Broadway-Lafayette subway station which promotes the “David Bowie Is” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum can be spotted throughout the station, and limited edition Metro cards are now available for super-fans.
According to the MTA, 250,000 limited edition Bowie cards have been printed. There are five Bowie metro designs in total which will be distributed randomly at station booths and metro card machines at the Broadway-Lafayette and Bleecker Street Stations.
The subway installation will be up until May 13th, but the Brooklyn Museum exhibit is up until July 15th. The cards are available on a first come first serve basis.
