Famed Japanese retail store Daiso is no stranger to NYC with stores in both Queens and Brooklyn. And now, the company will welcome its first Manhattan location to NYC this summer!
Shoppers can find a unique range of quality products to peruse, all averaging around $1.99—a price us New Yorkers are only used to with our dollar slice!
Known as a better quality dollar store of sorts, Daiso carries a wide variety of categories including beauty supplies, home goods, stationary, and Japanese snacks at super affordable costs. More traditional Japanese items are sold as well like origami paper, calligraphy tools, obento products, sensu fans, and more.
Located at 220 E. 57th Street in Midtown East, the new storefront is slated to open this July. It will span 4,800 square feet, making it even larger than the newly opened Brooklyn location.
Daiso has 3,620 stores in Japan and 2,272 stores worldwide. Manhattan’s first location with join the more than 80 locations already operating in the U.S.
