Artist Damien Michell unveiled his latest piece of street art yesterday at The Levee in Brooklyn, entitled “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.”
If you’ve been in Williamsburg looking for that old-school dive-bar vibe, and that comforting stale beer smell, then you probably already know The Levee. One of the last hold outs of NYC’s yoga studio, and Pop-up breakfast candy invasion. the Levee is sadly the last of a dying breed.
Yesterday the bar unveiled an amazing and politically charged new mural from artist Damien Michel. The piece, entitled “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.” depicts the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, removing a trump mask as he winks at the viewer.
Our Facebook comments would suggest that there are quite a few of out there in the city that are Trump supporters. I can’t imagine it’s easy for you in a city that overwhelmingly and vehemently opposed to the new POTUS. So, let’s take a temperature reading of our audience, shall we:
