Has one NYC restaurant finally crossed the food mashup-line? Reviewers say, “yes” but patrons tell a different story. If you love pizza, (of course you do) you might just love the Pizza Burger.
Clinton Hall’s newest sandwich, the pizza burger, has NYC split. Either it’s a gross franken-food or a delicious mashup treat.
We know what you’re thinking, “I know what a pizza burger is!” But, rather than the pizza topped with burger fillings, this is a burger topped with pizza toppings… literally. A burger, stuffed with Rosemary Parmesan Fries, where the top bun covered with tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni.
How do you grab the burger without getting your hands covered in tomato, cheese, and pepperoni grease? Well, your guess is as good as ours. This might be an affordable burger you want to eat with a knife and fork… look at us, boujie eating!
A Time Out New York reviewer said “if regret was a food, this is what it would be,” of the Pizza Burger. Social media tells a different story, Instagram users seen to be chomping at the bit to get their hands on (not literally, she the knife and fork paragraph above) this sandwich:
As the pizza burger get’s a little more popular we’ll see where new yorkers fall on whether it’s a great idea or a travesty. After all, every New Yorker is a pizza connoisseur to some degree.
Thankfully, even if you don’t like Clinton Hall’s latest sandwich, they have a slew of other mouthwatering burgers (and waffles, for the love of god, try the waffles) on offer.
