The adorable, Instagrammable CJ Hendry Roosevelt Island exhibit, Flower Market, is relocating for its final day in NYC.
A conceptual collaboration between Cle De Peau and the artist, the September 13th-15th extravaganza features 100,000 plush flowers ripe for the picking (for free).
If you ask us, it’s a lovely alternative to your weekly farmer’s market run. (Plus, you won’t have to stress about keeping your blooms alive and well.)
The CJ Hendry Roosevelt Island Exhibit relocates
Originally set up on Roosevelt Island, the colorful faux botanic display rivaled NYC’s best gardens, but for reasons unknown, its original location terminated the event.
“We’re really sorry, we did a thing – it was great — we got shut down,” Hendry said on Instagram about its temporary home: the 120-ft-long greenhouse at the Four Freedoms Park Conservancy.
She kept her word to fans and managed to secure a new location for the market’s final hoorah on Sunday, September 15th.
Now, the gorgeous creations have made their way to Brooklyn.
From 10am-5pm at Industry City, the borough’s beloved creative hub, visitors can come select a plush bloom of their choosing for free. After their first pick, each additional flower is $5.
Registration is not required, and the only thing you’ll need to possibly do is wait in line, should there be one upon arrival.
“There are no tickets. Just arrive and wait in line if there is one,” the artist said.
Considering the exhibit drew such a large crowd — even Martha Stewart was in attendance earlier in the week — we’d highly suggest making your way over for a few snaps.
Faux sunflowers, lilies, roses and beyond are waiting for you, and we’re certain your bouquet will add an adorable pop of color to your apartment.
