Though some of us can’t fathom unlocking a Citi Bike in this frigid weather, the company serviced 1.6 million New Yorkers in the last year and has big plans to expand further into the outer boroughs in 2025.
However, in order to keep operations up, Citi Bike has announced yet another price change that has increased fares in NYC.
Electric Citi Bikes already saw an increase last summer to cover higher than anticipated operational costs.
These are the new Citi Bike prices as of January 6th, 2025:
Annual Members
🚲 Ebikes increase to $0.25 per minute
⏰ Overage fees increase to $0.25 per minute
Reduced Fare Bike Share Members
🚲 Ebikes increase to $0.13 per minute
⏰ Overage fees increase to $0.25 per minute
Single Ride (Non-Members)
💰 $4.99
🚲 Ebikes increase to $0.38 per minute
⏰ Overage fees increase to $0.38 per minute
Lyft Pink All Access
🚲 Ebikes increase to $0.25 per minute
⏰ Overage fees increase to $0.25 per minute
