Let’s face it—elbowing through tourists isn’t exactly the ideal way to spend the holidays. Luckily, you don’t have to sacrifice the sparkle to avoid the stress and the crowds. Just under an hour north of the city, Westchester County offers a high-sparkle alternative that pairs perfectly with the season’s magic.
Home to the wealthiest suburb in America, the county also offers mesmerizing neighborhood light displays, magical Christmas concerts and even a winter wonderland!
Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza
This year, we’re driving north to Winter Wonderland. Located at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, there are 1,2 miles of dazzling lights, a 100-foot tunnel, and a 40-foot Christmas tree waiting to be admired from the comfort of your car. Additionally, to enhance the experience, visitors can download the free Otocast app to hear holiday-themed music and stories while driving through.
