Since their rise to popularity, Chip has been deemed to have the gooiest cookies in New York, the best in Queens, and rival the famous Levain Bakery for some of the best cookies in the five boroughs.
The bakery first opened in July 2017 in Astoria, Queens with only four flavors! Now, they have nineteen flavors, a Chip Ice Cream store, two locations, and a third opening today, January 18. The new space will be located in Long Island City at 42-15 Crescent Street.
In honor of opening day, Chip NYC will give out one free cookie to the first 200 customers that visit the shop. The new cookie haven will open at 4 p.m., so you’ll want to show up early to make sure you get your free cookie! The menu for opening day will feature Chocolate Chip Walnut, S’mores, Cookies N’ Cream, and Baklava (which is only available at the LIC location).
Chip NYC also plans to open yet another location soon in the West Village. A necessity really since their Gansevoort Market shop was closed at the end of 2018 which has left a large Chip void in Manhattan. The address for this space will be 298 Bleecker Street on the corner of Seventh Avenue, but an opening date has not been announced.
