With ChatGPT planning out people’s entire vacations, solving math problems, hell, even writing their papers, let’s remember there are some things humans can simply do better than robots (like put places on an itinerary that aren’t closed).
So we’re challenging ChatGPT to come up with a 24-hour itinerary in SoHo, spending under $50, to see who can really plan the best day: us or a computer. And trust us, we’ve got this in the bag.

Stop 1. Do yoga in Elizabeth Street Garden (Suggested donation: $15)
Nothing wakes the body up in the morning like a bit of yoga! Head to Elizabeth Street Garden and bask in the morning sunlight for yoga with Sky Ting, hosted on Saturdays at 10:30 am. The class is BYOMat and pay-what-you-can. The suggested donation is $15.
Stop 2. Take a stroll through Little Paris (Budget: Variable)
Though we live in the greatest city in the world, there’s nothing wrong with fantasizing about your European vacation. We suggest you stroll through Little Paris, between Broome & Grand Streets, and pretend your in Emily in Paris—admit it may be cringe, but we all know you secretly love that show. The petite area of the city is lined with beautiful Beaux-Arts architecture and French establishments. And if you’re interested in grabbing a coffee for your walk, we recommend a spot that’s actually open, like Maman. And maybe even snag one of their chocolate chip cookies while you’re there!
Stop 3. Go for tapas at Despaña (Approximate: $9)
One of our favorite spots for a quick bite (you can find our Secret NYC-approved sticker on the front door!), Despaña is a little Spanish escape in SoHo. And after touring Paris, why not jump neighboring countries and check out what Spain has to offer? Pick two tapas, like Navarrico Pinxta and Croqueta Serrano, and take a seat while you sink your teeth into these Spanish delicacies that will be sure to transport you.
Stop 4. Grab a glass and people watch at Fanelli’s (Approximate: $11)
Order a glass (or two) of their house wine and breathe in the evening SoHo air at one of their outdoor tables. Not only is this a great spot for outdoor drinking, but if offers front row seats to some of the best people watching in the city. Pick up some new outfit inspo as people pass by, eavesdrop on wandering conversations or even strike up a discussion with the table next to you. We promise, the entertainment won’t disappoint.
