We’re going to have some disappointed festival-goers this weekend: the Chappell Roan All Things Go performances in NYC and Washington DC have been cancelled.
The singer took to Instagram on Friday, September 26th, to give her growing fanbase an update.
“I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform,” the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it.”
The post continued: “I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox”
The singer was to be in NYC on Saturday the 28th at Forest Hills Stadium alongside Janelle Monáe, Hozier, Renée Rapp, Maren Morris, and others. Unfortunately for fans, Chappell is missing out on a milestone, as it is the first time the festival has made its way to NYC, although it’s been taking place since 2011. It’s well-known for promoting an inclusive environment for concert-goers.
But the “HOT TO GO!” crooner will make her way back to NYC later this year. She is slated to perform during SNL’s 50th season. She’ll be on the show’s fifth episode on Saturday, November 2nd, and John Mulaney will assume hosting duties.
Though the singer does have a few upcoming events on the calendar, other than SNL, it does not appear as if she’s making her way to NYC or the tristate area…at least not yet. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if any other information becomes available.
